Patented solutions for a long-life expectancy
Are you familiar with our patented offset tappet design? To prevent the brake lining from wearing at an angle due to modern single-punch technology, we have offset the brake tappet slightly towards the centre line of the lining. This counteracts any "tipping" of the brake lining, ensuring even wear to the brake. This allows us to utilise the advantages of the single-punch principle - such as reducing components and interfaces - and also prevent negative impacts on the brake lining with our patented design solution. The reinforced back plate of the active brake lining also supports the stabilising effect of balanced pressure distribution. Another innovative detail is pending patent: An additional heat protection cover protects the bellows of the tappet from the damaging effects of heat.
Another small but mighty component are the additional wearing plates under the active brake lining, which protect the brake anchors from damage in the toughest applications.
Leak- and corrosion proof? Of course!
In December last year, when giving the brake caliper a facelift, we introduced another simple but effective solution in the adjuster range, which is guaranteed to be leak-proof and can be installed in a process-reliable manner. The unit is securely sealed with an O-ring and - instead of the usual rubber cap - a solid sealing cap. The sealing reliably protects the brake caliper from water leaks - it also provides additional corrosion protection to the brake caliper with the KTLzn coating only practiced by BPW.

Our lightweight design saves fuel and loading capacity
Compact Design makes it possible: The lightest brake design on the market offers four kilograms of weight less per brake caliper compared to brake calipers from known calipers. How does it work? Because our brake caliper is specially designed for BPW axles, we do not have to use the frame used by all manufacturers as an "adapter" to make their brake calipers compatible with the screw position for all manufacturers. This allows us to have a compact design with fewer parts - which weighs significantly less.
Disc changes made easy
As well as weight savings, our Compact Design has another great advantage: It saves space. This provides the necessary space for a disc change without the time-consuming disassembly of the brake caliper. The bolts are loosened directly on the axle, the hub can be removed and the brake disc can be easily popped out of the brake caliper. This technical detail ensures time savings of an hour per axle compared to other manufacturers when changing the disc and thus ensures significant cost savings and shorter idle times. This is a decisive advantage, as each hour saved by the mechanics creates more time to spend on more complex tasks.
One brake - many advantages
